Roxanne De Beaux to step down at Camcycle

Roxanne De Beaux has announced that she will be stepping down from her position as CEO of the Cambridge-based cycling charity Camcycle.

This year marks the charity’s 30th anniversary and Roxanne feels the time is right for it to begin a new era, as she seeks a new professional challenge.

During her decade in charge, Roxanne has spearheaded the organisation’s growth in size, reputation and impact.

This has involved transforming every aspect of the charity from strategy and governance to finance and fundraising.

“I have absolutely loved my time working with Camcycle, discovering and growing my vocation to help as many people as possible experience the joy and increased quality of life that comes through increased levels of cycling and people-focused places,” Roxanne said.

She continued: “It has been a delight to see the vision I had for the organisation back in 2015 be brought to life through the skills and support of Camcycle’s amazing team of staff, trustees, members, volunteers, donors and partners. I know that the dedication they have shown over the past 30 years will continue to grow and shape the charity’s future impact.”

Paul Froud, co-chair of the Camcycle board of trustees, said: “Camcycle would not be the bold, strong and stable organisation it is today without the hard work, insight and leadership which Roxanne has brought to the role over the past ten years.

“She has been hugely successful at developing our national and international network, enhancing our local reputation and impact, and growing a strong staff and volunteer team committed to delivering on our strategy of more cycling for a better future. We are in excellent shape to welcome a new CEO and begin our next chapter.”

The charity says recruitment for a new CEO will begin this summer, with the goal to have new leadership in place by early 2026.
