Babraham Research Campus announces Dr Louise Jopling as first chief scientific & innovation officer
Dr Louise Jopling has been appointed to the newly created role of chief scientific and innovation officer at Babraham Research Campus.
Louise has 30 years’ experience in the health and life sciences sector, latterly leading Health Innovation East’s commercial team. At the start of 2024 she became Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at Babraham Research Campus.
The fellowship is to support research translation and commercialisation activities as part of a two-year project at the Babraham Institute, which Louise will continue. The role incolves close collaboration with the Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation team at the Babraham Institute to ‘accelerate fundamental life science research for talent development, population health benefit and wealth creation’.
Louise is strategic advisor to Enhanc3D Genomics, a Babraham Institute spin-out company, a long-standing member of the British Society for Immunology and on the editorial board for Immunotherapy Advances journal.
