Specialist fitness and wellbeing group Bridge Fitness is set to open its second studio – the first is off Stourbridge Common – at Unity Campus in Pampisford.

The group will add a range of bespoke training options to both the heart of the campus and the wider community from units 11 and 12 Langford Arch, totalling 3,000 sq ft on the campus .

Bridge offers one-on-one and small group exercise sessions: a highly experienced and diverse team of personal trainers span disciplines from functional training and strength building to weight loss, posture improvement and rehabilitation. Complimentary therapies, including osteopathy, will also be available.

Bridge’s commitment to bespoke training has also caught the attention of professional athletes, resulting in it being appointed as official trainers to Cambridge City Ladies Football Club earlier this year. Its methods are highly suitable for current socially distanced environments, with distinct training slots agreed in advance ensuring numbers on site will be monitored to maintain appropriately distanced training spaces for each client.

Caroline Grant, co-founder, Bridge Fitness, said: “We are delighted to be involved and now associated with Unity Campus. Bridge has been operating successfully from our city centre premises for the last five years, and over that time we have put together a highly experienced team of personal trainers, offering a totally diverse set of skills. In addition to the one-on-one sessions, we will be offering a range of services including pilates, yoga and barre classes.

“This brand new studio will be kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment and will offer a private and safe environment, which has always been paramount to Bridge Fitness.”

Unity Campus is ideally positioned within the fast-paced Cambridge life science and technology cluster. It sits in a prime location close to public transport links (Whittlesford Parkway station is under a mile away), community activities and amenities in nearby Sawston, cycle networks into central Cambridge and some of the region’s most affordable housing. This combination of accessibility from a travel and amenity perspective sets it apart from other business and R&D park locations in the cluster.

Colin Brown, director, development at Howard Group, said: “I am thrilled that Bridge is joining the Unity Campus community. Having such a high quality health and fitness provision on site is a fantastic addition, not only for our campus occupiers but also the wider Sawston community too. Hugh and Caroline’s bespoke training model is a superb fit with our current occupier base, particularly the likes of Cuttsy+Cuttsy and GetBusy based within The Works, whose teams are particularly focused on the integration of fitness and wellbeing as a part of their daily routines.

“Health and wellbeing is an increasingly common thread in my conversations with prospective occupiers and I believe it’s a cultural shift that is here to stay. I am now more acutely aware of the running, cycling and other training opportunities in the area and running out of excuses not to be in top shape myself!”

Bridge Fitness expects to welcome its first clients on site from February 2021.
