The companies said coming together will make them a more powerful force in their specialist sectors, which include print and digital publishing for the membership and arts sectors, media sales and marketing communications.

The new CPL One Group comprises three brands – CPL, Century One and Cabbells - and the combined annual revenues are on course to reach £10million.

Century One and Cabbells managing director Sarah Simpson becomes a shareholder of CPL One under the deal and joins the CPL One Group board, which will be headed up by CPL managing director Mike Sewell.

“Together, CPL, Century One and Cabbells have the potential to become a major force in the sectors where we specialise,” said Sarah. “We share similar philosophies and this move allows us to create a strong and exciting combined platform for future growth.”

Mike added: “I am delighted to welcome Sarah and her team to the CPL One Group. In the short term it will be business as usual as we continue to focus on delivering a great service for our clients.

“In the longer term we are confident that our employees, along with current and future clients, will benefit from the shared expertise and experience of the combined group.”
