Carol Cheung becomes principal at Cambridge Innovation Capital
Carol Cheung has been promoted to principal within the Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) investment team.
Since joining the venture capital investor as an associate in 2016, Carol has worked with a number of companies in its technology portfolio, including managing CIC’s investment in Cytora and Geospock.
Previously, she was commercial director at Cambridge speech recognition company Speechmatics and held roles in other early-stage tech companies in the UK.
Carol, who has an MBA from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA charterholder, said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new role within CIC. It’s been nothing short of fantastic working with the team so far to find, build and shape world-leading companies linked to the Cambridge ecosystem, and I am looking forward to the myriad of exciting opportunities heading our way in the near future.”
