CFGI’s Cambridge office opens for business at Milton Hall base
CFGI has opened its Cambridge office at Milton Hall, adding the premier-league hub to its portals already installed in London, Glasgow and Birmingham.
CFGI is a global, non-audit accounting advisory firm of ex-Big 4 professionals, founded originally in the US and now operating across the UK. The team supports companies throughout their lifecycle, from ambitious high-growth pre-revenue start-ups, right through to established commercial public companies. CFGI has expertise across a wide range of sectors, “with a particular specialism in life sciences and healthcare”.
Operating as a hands-on extension of an in-house finance team, CFGI works alongside the existing team, serving in a variety of roles – from technical accounting advisor to M&A support, to IPO readiness to listed company financial reporting – and delivering seamless support services. Without the independence restrictions of an audit practice, CFGI’s model allows for a rapid, flexible and cost competitive response to deliver a tailored solution for each challenge encountered.
Paul Cooper, who heads up the Cambridge office, says the team is already raring to go.
“Very much so!” he told the Cambridge Independent. “We are aware there is hard work ahead but I have always stayed in the Cambridge market and really enjoy it, especially with the focus on so many exciting life sciences and tech businesses constantly emerging. We are currently a team of eight but CFGI across the UK has now grown to a team of almost 80 in less than two years.
He adds: “I have been in the Cambridge market for 18 years and the team are all local and have worked in the Cambridge market previously.”
The Milton Hall team offers an extensive array of services.
“We offer a full range of accounting advisory services which we deliver free from any audit independence restrictions,” Paul explains. “These include financial reporting, audit readiness support, risk advisory and controls, ESG implementation, business transformation, IPO readiness, valuation work and more.”
