Gallery: Next generation Nissan Juke unveiled alongside holographic presentation at Glyn Hopkin in Cambridge

State-of-the-art holographic technology was used at the unveiling of the next generation of the Nissan Juke at the Glyn Hopkin Nissan & Nismo Centre in Cambridge.

It allowed Nissan executives and Juke Design director Matthew Weaver to appear in the showroom in hologram form.

The Nissan Juke is the UK’s highest-selling compact crossover of all time.

VIP preview evenings are taking place at 170 dealerships across the UK during a six-week tour that began on Monday, October 7. The immersive product presentation reached the Newmarket Road dealership on Wednesday October 23.

The preview events feature a dramatic sound and light show, with Juke product experts explaining the car’s new features in detail.

Guests attending were also able to see a sketch of the new car drawn live by a robot, explore Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies using 3D VR headsets, and use car configurators to create their dream car.

Along with attendees nationwide, they were also invited to take part in a prize draw to win a 10-night holiday to Japan for two.

And the marketing tour de force seemed to do the trick.

Reece Clyne, a sales advisor at Nissan who attended the event, told the Cambridge Independent: "There are only six of the new Jukes in the country. We had food and drink set out and everyone loved the new Juke. We sold quite a few cars that evening alone."

"Nissan are making their vehicles more futuristic, shall we say. The Juke is full of technology and appeals to not only the younger generation, but the older generation as well.

"Since the event, we've had quite a few people come in and place orders, inquire more, and we also have a test-drive event coming up at the end of November. We've had quite a lot of interest in that as well."

There are also 140 exclusive Premiere Edition models available in the UK, based on the Tekna+ grade and priced from £23,995.
