Going abroad? Here's a convenient way to arrange your travel money
The Cambridge Building Society can provide more than 70 currencies at zero per cent commission.
Holidays are a great incentive to save and with the schools’ summer break well under way, many families will be heading off in search of the sun.
There are many things to think about when going abroad – and having money to spend is a very important one.
The Cambridge Building Society works with Travelex to provide more than 70 currencies at zero per cent commission.
With competitive exchange rates and no minimum value for orders made in branch, The Cambridge could be a convenient option to help holidaymakers on their way.
Foreign currency can be ordered online, by phone or in branch. Alternatively, it can be delivered by post if ordered through the website.
If travel money is ordered in branch before 2.30pm on a weekday it can be collected the next working day, perfect for last-minute bargain breaks.
The Cambridge has just launched a mobile app, meaning customers can check their accounts, wherever they are in the world, from the palm of their hand.
The money app also allows those who have an e-Saver account to transfer money to a nominated external account. This is ideal for those situations where the currency is running low and more money is needed to be withdrawn while abroad.
Customer service manager Matt Attridge said: “We work with Travelex to bring you a convenient and simple way to order your foreign currency – in branch, by phone or online, making it easier for you to get ready for your holiday.
“Our new money app lets you stay on top of your finances while you’re away as you can keep up to date with your accounts and get in touch with The Cambridge team by secure message.”
The Cambridge money app is available for download in the App Store for customers who have registered for online access or have an e-Saver account. An Android version is due for release in the autumn.
