City recruitment specialist is 'exceptional' star

Jark Cambridge saw off more than 50 other agencies to be handed the Recruitment Agency of the Year prize by TV impressionist and awards host Alistair McGowan at The Recruit Venture Group Awards ceremony in central London recently.

The agency, based in Burleigh Street in Cambridge, had what judges called an “exceptional year” of trading, with sales up nearly 13 per cent, turnover up by £1.4million and other key performance milestones also exceeded.

Cambridge director of the Burleigh Street-based agency, Justin Stocks, said: “I’m thrilled Jark Cambridge has won this award because I really feel like the team has deserved it this year. We’ve beaten our ambitious targets and that’s credit to everyone’s hard work.

“Our success really is down to our people. The fact that we have high levels of staff retention means we are able to offer our clients and candidates the benefits of our team’s knowledge and experience. Our team really knows its patch and the labour demands in the various business sectors we serve and I feel that gives us an edge on the competition.”
