Kooltech opens in Bar Hill

Kooltech, a leading UK wholesaler and distributor of air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump solutions, opened a new branch in Bar Hill this week, creating several new jobs.

The official opening of the new branch took place on Monday (June 19). Visitors were given the opportunity to meet the new branch team and suppliers, benefit from special one-off trade deals and enjoy a hog roast.

The brand new 3,115 sq ft premises – including a trade counter, offices, and a warehouse – will supply Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning and sustainable heat pumps, refrigeration equipment, and associated installation and service materials to specialist contractors in the area. Expanding Kooltech’s range of heat pumps and sustainable heating and cooling solutions will help accelerate the region’s transition to net zero.

Ten new local jobs have been created in a “growing, future-proofed” sector, a Kooltech spokesperson said.

The Bar Hill site is part of a wider investment by Kooltech in East Anglia and the home counties north of London. Glasgow-based Kooltech is one of the UK’s most experienced air conditioning, sustainable heating, and climate specialists, who specify, engineer, modify, and distribute Mitsubishi units for commercial, non-domestic buildings along with a full package of service and installation materials.

Stephen Challis, Kooltech area product sales manager, said: “This is good news for local tradespeople. The Bar Hill trading estate is well connected to major roads, and everything is brand new. Our market-leading Mitsubishi electric equipment, including cutting-edge commercial heat pumps, installation and service materials will be available either for collection from the trade counter, or delivery.”
