Kadans Science Partner starts construction at Merlin Place in north Cambridge
Construction work on a 139,000 sq ft development has started at Merlin Place in north Cambridge.
London-based property investor and developer Kadans Science Partner has revealed that the new building – due to open in 2026 – will comprise CL2 wet labs, dry labs and office space over six storeys.
Kadans, which has already invested in Babraham Research Campus, identified the location as suitable due to its proximity to Cambridge North station and to Cambridge Science Park. A public café and communal social spaces into the design of the site. End-of-journey facilities including showers and changing rooms are included for alternative commuting options such as cycling and walking.
