Sagentia Innovation formed from three businesses in Science Group’s R&D consultancy




Three businesses with Science Group’s R&D consultancy division ihave merged to form Sagentia Innovation.

The advisory skills of Oakland Innovation and OTM have been brought together with the product development capabilities of Harston-based Sagentia.

The new integrated R&D consultancy business says it will allow every project to be viewed through three “interconnected lenses” – end-user needs, commercial opportunities and technical feasibility.

By bringing these expertise to bear from the outset, Sagentia Innovation says it aims to enable a quicker, more agile route to market, and to create more effective and commercially valuable products.

Paul Wilkins, Sagentia Innovation’s managing director, said: “Over the last five years we have found ever greater synergy between our advisory and product development work.

The new business has an annual turnover of more than £30million, with international clients across the medical, food and beverage, consumer, industrial systems, chemicals and energy sectors.

Science Group has 10 offices and two UK R&D innovation centres, including Harston, and employs more than 400 people.
