‘One of the most important voices in contemporary Irish music’ is coming soon to Cambridge.

Saturday 9 November 2024 at St John’s College Chapel, Cambridge.

The choirmaster and broadcaster is back with the feelgood ‘Sing-Along-A-Gareth: My Life Through Song’.

After a string of single releases, the Littleport-based country rock artist is to release her debut EP, and is also set to perform in Royston.

This powerful piece has been described as “the most popular oratorio of the 19th century”.

The quartet includes former members of indie rock group The Maccabees, as well as Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison.

The track, from Aurora’s ‘A Different Kind of Human (Step 2)’ album, was recorded at her recent sold-out gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

The singer answered questions from the audience about his new autobiography, ‘Never’, and about his life.

The Swansea-born poet will be bringing his headline solo tour to Cambridge in early November.

The event is to raise money for the teenage cancer unit at Addenbrooke’s.

The nation’s favourite organist is to release a new EP, ‘The Waiting Sky’, with Pembroke Girls Choir.

Other artists set to be involved in the concerts and workshops at Girton College, Cambridge, include Trish Clowes, Ross Stanley, and Tony Kofi.

The concert was part of the Cambridge Early Music concert season.

The indie rockers first played the venue when they supported The Charlatans there back in 1995.

The concert, which also features Military Wives and Shannon Express, is in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

He will perform as part of Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra in Cambridge, along with another special guest, singer Marc Almond.

The world-renowned violinist and conductor’s annual Christmas show will be shown in Vue Cambridge, Light Cinema Cambridge, Cineworld Ely and more.
