Fen Ditton yarn bomber returns with Christmas display – and a surprise
The Fen Ditton postbox yarn bomber has delighted village residents again with another crocheted cosy – this time depicting Christmas carol singers.
The latest work appeared under cover of darkness to surprise locals on Fen Ditton High Street last week. It shows five singers around a Christmas tree next to some presents.
And the new knit has a sparkly secret.
The artist, who likes to remain undercover, told the Cambridge Independent: “For the first time ever I have included a solar panel in the postbox topper which means the Christmas tree should light up at night!
“I’ve had a lot of fun with this one and people seem to enjoy it. You have to be quick to see the lights. They only last a couple of hours, so pop down between 4pm and 6pm.”
