How Buckingham Palace would look with a makeover by Cambridgeshire developers
David Wilson Homes, the housebuilders behind a number of Cambridgeshire developments, have come up with some alternative designs for one of the most iconic rooms in the palace.
Ever wondered what Buckingham Palace would look like with modern interior? Wonder no more...
The team at David Wilson Homes – part of the Barratt Homes plc group – have created design alternatives for the White Drawing Room – where the Queen is known to broadcast her Christmas speech.
The five modern and quirky interior design styles depict the room in styles such as Art Deco, Scandi minimalism, and even suggest what a futuristic glimpse might look like.
While Buckingham Palace is undergoing a £369million refurbishment to electrics and plumbing over the coming years, there are no plans to change or update the interiors, so David Wilson Homes felt like giving it a go.
Cambridgeshire housing schemes with which David Wilson Homes is currently involved include Darwin Green, Northstowe and Romans' Edge.
