£400 stolen in burglary at eatery in Mill Road, Cambridge
Burglars stole a cash till containing £400 after breaking into an eatery in Mill Road, Cambridge, in the early hours.
Neighbours reported hearing the burglary at Juic’it up – Buns n’ Wings at 3.37am on Thursday (27 March).
Mohammed Azamuddin, the owner of the takeaway and juice bar, said he had shared internal CCTV footage captured during the break-in with police, while footage from another camera on Devonshire Road was also being reviewed.
“We are a small business, and this incident will have a massive effect on us,” said Mr Azamuddin. “We urge anyone who can identify the perpetrators or has any information to contact the police.”
A police spokesperson told the Cambridge Independent: “We were called at about 3.40am today (27 March) with reports of a burglary in Mill Road, Cambridge.
“Thieves had broken into the premises and left with cash.
“Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area, but those responsible could not be located.
“An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have yet been made.”
