45 firefighters called to Fen Road in Cambridge as fire engulfs caravans and outbuilding




About 45 firefighters tackled a blaze involving multiple caravans and an outbuilding in Cambridge on Sunday (20 April).

Crews were called to Fen Road at 7.54am to tackle the fire.

Just before 10am, the fire service said: “The fire is now under control but there is still a lot of smoke coming from the site. Anyone in the area is advised to keep doors and windows closed.”

By midday, the fire was out but crews remained on site damping down the scene.
