A-level results day 2022: Stephen Perse Foundation Sixth Form




Students at Stephen Perse Foundation Sixth Form achieved outstanding results, with 36 per cent of all grades at A* or International Baccalaureate higher level grade 7.

Sixth formers will now be taking up places at some of the UK’s highest ranked universities, including four at the University of Cambridge, two at Oxford University, eight at University College London, five at King’s College London and four at Imperial College.

All seven applicants for medicine or veterinary medicine were successful, with students also gaining places at universities in the US, including at Columbia University.

Head of sixth form Jacqueline Paris said: “Congratulations to the cohort of 2022 who have risen to the challenges and uncertainties of their sixth form studies with an impressive degree of maturity. I am delighted with the grades that they have achieved and the university places that they have secured. “These are testament to the hard work, resilience and determination shown by this very impressive group of young people who are a credit to themselves. Everyone at The Stephen Perse Foundation is very proud of them.”

At the Stephen Perse Foundation, a total of 63 per cent of grades A*-A (or IB equivalent), with 83 per cent of grades A* -B (or IB equivalent) and 93 per cent of grades A* - C (or IB equivalent).

In addition, 24 per cent of students achieved at least three subjects at A* at A-level and 48 per cent of students achieved at least three subjects at A* or A (or IB equivalent).

Principal Richard Girvan said: “Our students deserve every credit for their results, achieved after two year courses that were substantially impacted by the pandemic.

“Their parents, our teachers and the students themselves can be rightly proud of their superb achievements. At Stephen Perse, our focus in the next few days will be on helping the small number of students who need our assistance after receiving their results.”
