A short quack and sides today? Ducks waddle into Barton Hair Studio




Ducks in Barton have been going quackers – for haircuts.

Stylist Sharon O’Keeffe told the Cambridge Independent: “We’re situated by a pond and a couple of months ago, a mother duck and her three ducklings slowly started coming towards the salon. My colleague brought lots of oats in to give them and they would start just coming in – about five or six times a day.”

Word of the excellent service at the salon evidently spread – perhaps they tweeted it – because the party grew.

“Gradually they went and got some friends so we then ended up with about eight ducks walking into the salon!” said Sharon.

“They’re all quite big now and they don’t come over as frequently as they did.”

News of the mallards’ exploits reached Facebook, where one astute commentator suggested the ducks were heading in to the salon for a short quack and sides.
