The Prime Minister has praised a Christmas card designed by a Cambridge primary school pupil for Anthony Browne MP.
The MP for South Cambridgeshire visited Queen Emma Primary School in Queen Edith’s to congratulate Sofia Sanchez, aged nine, who entered this year’s competition to design a card on the theme of ‘What Christmas means to me’.

Mr Browne said: “She really captured Cambridge at Christmas time. The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, was also very impressed with her picture, praising it when I showed it to him.”

Meanwhile, Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner’s Christmas card design competition was won by Tillie Hallett, of Shirley Community Primary School, after all primary school students were invited to take part.

Two runners-up have their pictures printed on the back of the card.
Mr Zeichner said: “I always love seeing my office full of festive cards from our young minds. From Christmas trees and candy canes, to snowmen and stockings, to baubles and bells, everyone is happy to get in on the festivities and produce beautiful art to ensure everyone feels festive.”
