Anniversary celebrations honour staff at Woodlands Care Centre

Woodlands Care Centre in Cambridge celebrated its 10th anniversary last weekend.

The centre marked the occasion by presenting certificates to members of staff with 10 years of service in the presence of the mayor, Cllr Gerri Bird, on Saturday (October 12).

Cllr Bird explained: “It’s a lovely home and they seem to be able to keep their staff.

"In a lot of homes, staff members don't stay long but there they seem to be very happy.”

“It was lovely to go there and meet people. I didn’t get a chance to speak to many residents, which is why I’ve asked to go back.”
