A new construction manager is bringing his industry knowledge and experience to Bellway’s new Eastern Counties division.

Northampton-born Chris Russell – who has been working his way up in the industry ever since he left school in 1997 – started out in his new role as a construction manager earlier this year.

The thrilled dad-of-three saw the managerial role as a fantastic opportunity to apply his skills and knowledge to help develop the new region, which is based in Huntingdon.

Bellway Eastern Counties is currently building homes in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

Two developments – The Furrows in Warboys and Bower Place in Cottenham – are already open, while work has started at new developments in Houghton Regis and New Cardington in Bedfordshire.

Chris, 39, said: “The region was introduced earlier this year, and the team has been working really hard to develop sought-after homes in the new area since.

“There’s never a dull moment in the job. One day I can be carrying out site visits, and the next recruiting new staff.”

He added: “The connections I’ve made so far are what has made it special.

"I get to interact with a great variety of different people in my day-to-day work, and this is easily my favourite part of the job.

“It’s a really exciting time for the new site in Cottenham, Bower Place, which has just had its first three legal completions.

“I’m really enjoying watching the current developments grow and develop. It’s a great feeling to be responsible for overseeing the growth of these fantastic new communities.

“Bellway has a fantastic reputation – and I’m really proud to be a part of that.”
