Bin collection dates for Cambridge, South Cambridgeshire and East Cambridgeshire for Christmas 2022 and new year 2023

Bin collection dates will change for the Christmas and new year period.

Collections from December 26 through to January 13 will all be at least one day later than usual in the region. In Cambridge, South Cambridgeshire and East Cambridgeshire, a revised schedule has been released, right.

East Cambridgeshire residents are advised to put wheeled bins and black sacks out for collection by 7am on the day of collection but not before 6pm the night before.

In Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire, as usual for the time of year when less garden waste is generated, collections of green bins will switch from their usual fortnightly collection pattern to monthly collections from December 26 to March 18.

Real Christmas trees can be booked in for a charity recycling collection by Arthur Rank Hospice Charity at bit.ly/3hH7CcG. They can also be taken to household recycling centres around the county or they can be dropped off at Cherry Hinton Hall car park.

Bin crews in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire have been returning this week to streets missed during the freezing weather.
