Body found in River Cam at Jesus Green Lock

Police are investigating after a body was discovered in the River Cam in Cambridge.

Officers were called today, Tuesday September 22, at 10.09am to reports of a body found in Jesus Green Lock, Chesterton Road, Cambridge.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers remain at the scene and an investigation into the cause of the death is ongoing."

It has not yet been confirmed whether the body is of a man or a woman.

There is a large police presence at the site and a tent has been erected next to the water.
