Mark Askew, headteacher at Fen Ditton Community Primary School said: “At 10am this morning, we were alerted to a bomb threat made by phone call to the school. Following advice from Cambridgeshire police, staff and pupils were immediately evacuated and safely relocated to our fellow Anglian Learning school, Marleigh Primary Academy.

“Cambridgeshire police have since investigated the phone call and confirmed that it is no longer considered a live threat, which means we may safely return to the school this afternoon. We are incredibly proud of the behaviour of our school community today and want to thank our families, Cambridgeshire Police, and Anglian Learning and Marleigh Primary Academy colleagues for their support.”
