A14 closed as lorry on fire

A lorry containing clothes is on fire on the westbound carriageway on the A14, resulting in traffic chaos.

Police were called to the scene between Swavesey (J28) and Fenstanton (J26) at around 10.15am this morning (Friday, January 11).

Both lanes of the A14 have now been closed, to allow the fire service to tackle the blaze. Police are advising people to avoid the area.

The M11 northbound at J13 is also being closed.

Fire crews were still tackling the blaze at 11.27am.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
