By-election called after the death of Cambridge mayor




A by-election is to be held in King’s Hedges following a request from two electors to fill the vacancy created by the death of the former Cambridge mayor Cllr Nigel Gawthrope.

It will be held at the same time as the city council elections on Thursday, May 2, with voters in King’s Hedges able to elect two councillors for the ward.

Anyone who is not already registered to vote can do so by going online togov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling 01223 457048 for a paper application.

Applications must be made by 11.59pm on April 12 to take effect for May 2.
