Cambridge twins Eve and Jess Gale to join Winter Love Island

A pair of identical twins from Cambridge have been announced as contestants on the new series of Winter Love Island, starting this weekend.

The 20-year-old blondes, Eve and Jess Gale, are students in London, but before that they attended Cottenham Village College and Long Road Sixth Form.

Even before joining the show they have turned celebrity heads while working as VIP hostesses in London nightclubs.

In an interview with ITV2, Eve revealed that she had been contacted by Tyga, Kylie Jenner’s former partner.

She said: “We were both at an event and I posted an Instagram story tagging him. He then messaged me afterwards and we spoke on WhatsApp. Then when me and Jess were in Ibiza, he was there again. He asked me to meet him but we arrived the day he left. Pop Smoke, the R ‘n’ B rapper, messaged me too.”

The twins will be jetting off to South Africa to join other contestants at the brand new luxury villa in Cape Town to compete for a share of the £50k prize money on the first ever Winter Love Island, which starts this Sunday.

Jess describes herself as “kind, fun and spontaneous,” whereas Eve says, “I’m obviously fun too! And I’d like to think I’m confident and friendly.”

The pair both admit their ideal man would be boxer Anthony Joshua and Jess says she is looking for “someone who is confident, not cocky. Self-assured, kind and respectful and on the same intelligence level as me.” Eve is on he look-out for an “alpha male”.

And they both promise to have each other’s back in the villa, with Jess saying: “ If there’s a guy that’s upset Eve, he is cancelled in my books.”

Eve adds: “With Jess, I have the ultimate girl code. If someone upset her I’d never speak to them again. In the villa, I won’t be snake-y towards a girl, but if I like a guy I would say.”
