25-year-old man from Cambourne, Cambridgeshire wins two supercars worth £88,000, courtesy of BOTB (Best of the Best Plc)

Kieran Groom was surprised by his girlfriend, Jessica Willmott, and Christian Williams, a presenter at BOTB, with the news he had won the cars - and also a large amount of money - while at work at Mercedes Cambridge in Barnwell Road on Monday, December 31.

Having suffered the nightmarish scenario of having his Ford Focus break down over Christmas, Kieran scooped the New Year's Eve jackpot: a new Mercedes A35 AMG, worth £36,000, and a Porsche Cayman S, worth £52,000 - along with £20,000 in cash.

He had suggested entering the competition to his girlfriend on a whim while looking into ways to replace his old Ford Focus.

Asked by Christian Williams whether the fact that he had one two supercars and £20,000 in cash had sunk in, Kieran said: "No, not at all - I don't think it will be for weeks, months even."

Kieran also told Williams that he never thought he would ever own a Porsche. "Not in a million years," he said.
