CCTV released after robbers armed with crowbar target Tesco in Cambridge

Two robbers wearing balaclavas and armed with a crowbar targeted Tesco in Cambridge.

Officers were called to the supermarket in Campkin Road at about 9.40pm on Monday night following reports that the men had demanded money from the till.

They escaped on foot with cash and cigarettes.

Today (Tuesday), Cambridgeshire police have issued CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

Sgt Ashley Ryan, from the force’s acquisitive crime team, said: “This was a frightening incident for those working in the shop.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or might have mobile phone or dashcam footage to assist with our investigation.”
