Chesterton Post Office reopens
Chesterton Post Office officially reopened at its new location – inside the Spar convenience store at 249-251 Chesterton Road, Chesterton – on Monday (14 April).
The previous branch at 50 High Street, Chesterton, closed in May 2024, following the resignation of the temporary postmaster.
The opening hours are Monday-Sunday, 9am-6pm – 16 hours and 30 minutes more than before.
A similar range of products and services are still available, excluding vehicle tax, as well as a comprehensive range of travel money, except euros and dollars.
Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner MP visited on Thursday, 10 April. He said: “I know how much local people have missed their Post Office, so I’m thrilled to see it returning.
“It’s not just about stamps and parcels – it’s a lifeline for many.”
