County lines drug dealer jailed after being stopped outside Parkside Police Station in Cambridge
A county lines drug dealer was stopped outside Parkside Police Station in Cambridge.
Officers were on patrol on 9 February 2023 when they spotted a black Citroen DS3, linked to drug dealing, driving along East Road.
As the driver turned on to Parkside, officers pulled the vehicle over and found Abdul Ali, of Euston Street, Huntingdon, inside along with a woman.
Mobile phones and £1,500 in cash were found in the vehicle and during a search of the woman, 35 wraps of cocaine and 32 wraps of heroin were found in her underwear.
Ali, 31, told police the drugs were his and an investigation revealed numerous messages linking him to running the ‘Dan’ drugs line between Cambridge and Huntingdon.
Ali was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on 7 March, after previously pleading guilty to concerned in the supply of class B drugs, possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.
Det Con Callum Fullwood, who investigated, said: “County lines dealers prey on the vulnerabilities of others in order to run their business and make money. We recognise the impact they have on our communities and will continue to put them before the courts to make the county a safer place.”
