Dinky Doors build shrink ray in Cambridge to reduce the world's problems
Dinky Doors have released a new invention onto Cambridge’s streets - a shrink ray that they say will solve the world's problems by making them smaller.
The anonymous street artists, who have dotted Cambridge streets with fairy-sized doors, spaceships and even an Octo Spa, admit that some problems may be harder than others to direct under the Dinky Shrinky. “We don’t think you can shrink an idea,” they said. “But perhaps other problems such as too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere might be possible to shrink.
“We’ve been given an unexpected mission to save the world by our Supreme Leader and this seemed like the best way to tackle the big problems the world is facing right now. Unfortunately we have accidentally shrunk the University Arms hotel, which is next to the shrink ray, a couple of times but we brought it back and we are hoping nobody noticed.
“We would love to see photos of anything other people decide to shrink so please share it on social media with us.”
The Dinky Doors shrink ray has been installed on Park Terrace outside the Entopia building, the home for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership who are also trying to “Save The World” according to the artists.
