A driver open day is giving people the chance to get behind the wheel of a bus.

Stagecoach East is inviting people to put their driving skills to the test to see if they have got what it takes to become a Stagecoach bus driver.

The event is being held on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, at Milton Park & Ride (just off the A10).

Two of Stagecoach’s training coaches will be available for a test drive in a dedicated closed-off area of the site.

Zoe Paget, operations director of Stagecoach East, said: “Our Driver Open Day is the ideal opportunity to find out all about a rewarding career as one of our bus drivers. At Stagecoach East, we believe in encouraging people to maximise their potential and develop their skills. So if you think this might be a job for you, please come along and give it a go.”

Stagecoach managers and supervisors will be on hand on the day to discuss the training process as well as what a bus driver’s job entails, full-time, part-time and just at weekends.

You’ll also get to hear about life as a bus driver first-hand from recent recruits.
