Driver in critical condition in hospital after village crash
A driver remains in a critical condition in hospital following a serious collision in a village near Huntingdon.
Emergency services raced to the crossroads at the junction of Ramsey Road, Huntingdon Road and School Road in Kings Ripton at about 12.30pm on Monday (31 March).
They were called following reports of a collision involving a silver Hyundai i10 and a red Toyota Aygo.
The driver of the Hyundai, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota, a woman in her 70s, was also taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Sergeant Jamie Cooper, from the road policing unit, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to it. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage.”
