E-bike rider in her 80s suffers serious injuries in collision with car in Cambridge




A woman in her 80s remains in hospital with serious injuries following a collision involving an e-bike and a car in Cambridge.

Emergency services were called to New Square at just before 10am yesterday (Tuesday, 1 April) with reports of a collision between an e-bike and a white Skoda Yeti.

The e-bike rider, a woman in her 80s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries, where she remains.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 80s, was uninjured and remained at the scene.

Sgt Claire Marland, from the road policing unit, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the incident. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.”
