Exciting changes on the way to Milton Country Park after playground appeal success
Milton Country Park will get a zip wire, climbing equipment and new swings as part of a playground revamp after smashing fundraising targets.
More than £128,000 has been raised to help build new playground equipment at Milton Country Park.
The target was £115,000.
Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust, the charity which manages the park, said the playground was designed following several consultations with visitors and local school children.
It includes a zip-wire, climbing frames and swings, all in a “natural design in keeping with the park setting”.

“The design has been broken down into three phases. How much we can do is entirely dependent on how much we can raise.
“This design can be added to with more play equipment, landscaping, planting and seating. As our funds grow so can our ideas!!
“A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us with this project.
“It couldn’t happen without you and we are looking forward to creating something really special.”
