Stagecoach buses told passengers that they were not able to service the station area while firefighters were at the scene.

A passenger who arrived at the rail station at 10.45am said: “The trains were delayed by about five minutes but there wasn’t any announcement. We couldn’t see any smoke when we arrived but there were lots of fire engines around and I could see four or five buses parked up behind them. I hope everyone is OK.”
