Five charged in connection with robberies in Cambridge of Grindr users




Five men have been charged in connection with a series of robberies in Cambridge after reports of people being targeted through the dating app Grindr.

Police took reports of people being robbed after arranging to meet in person men they had met online through Grindr between May 1 and September 21 last year .

Harrison Carter, 25, of Chesterton Road, Cambridge, Jack Walker, 20, of Cromwell Crescent, Papworth Everard and Mackenzie Wales, 18, of Anson Road, Cambourne were all charged with conspiring to commit robbery on Friday (January 13).

Eden White, 21, of Quidditch Lane, Cambourne, was charged with conspiring to commit robbery and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

A 17-year-old boy, from Knapwell, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with conspiring to commit robbery and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

They are all due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on February 16.
