Food, fun and gifts aplenty at Ely Cathedral’s festive fair
Some 16,000-17,000 flocked to Ely Cathedral last week for its annual Christmas Gift & Food Fair.
Taking place from Thursday to Saturday (November 14-16), the event is now in its eighth year.
More than 120 stalls were located in the magnificent nave, the Lady Chapel and in a heated marquee in the picturesque grounds.
Jocelyn Palmer, events manager at Ely Cathedral, said: “It was a brilliant family day out, especially the Saturday – it was gorgeous with the carousel outside. It was just a wonderful atmosphere.
“We had lots of new stalls and a wide selection of food outside.”
All of the money raised goes towards the upkeep of the cathedral.
Jocelyn added: “I think the setting is just so magical.
"It takes a lot of organisation and without our wonderful volunteers, we just couldn’t do it.”
