Green bin collections delayed in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire
The collection of green bins in some areas of Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire have been delayed today (Thursday, August 5) due to staffing issues.
In Cambridge streets are affected in Arbury and West Chesterton while in South Cambridgeshire, streets in Boxworth, Knapwell, Bourn and Childerley are impacted.
A statement from Cambridge City Council said: “There is no need to report a missed collection if you live on one of these streets and we have not emptied your bin by 3pm.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”
A statement from the Greater Cambridge Shared Waste service said: “We're running a little behind schedule with one of our green bin collection rounds today due to staffing issues.”
