Harry Potter fans gather at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge
Harry Potter fans gathered at the Grand Arcade last weekend to meet Prof Dumbledore and to celebrate Hallowe’en.
On Saturday (October 31), this safe half-term experience allowed visitors to discover which Hogwarts house they belonged to – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin – using the Sorting Hat from Hogwarts School, located next to the entrance of John Lewis.
In order to maintain social distancing, there were only 30 spaces available per session. While waiting for their sorting, visitors were be able to participate in the ‘snitch trail’, which involved finding 10 snitches hidden around the arcade.
Julie Kervadec, marketing manager at the Grand Arcade, said: “It was a very nice event. I felt that families were really enjoying it and people were respecting the measures we put in place."
