Crews from Cambridge, Cottenham and Ely responded at 9.57am on Monday (February 20) and used specialist equipment to release the horse from the stable on Station Road.

At 1.58pm that afternoon, a Cambridge crew extinguished a pile of felled trees that had been set on fire deliberately in Bottisham High Street. Anyone with information should call police.

Crews also dealt with accidental car fires on the B1381 near Sutton and in Castle Street, Fordham, on Monday.
