In pictures: Professor T and The Crown film in Cambridge – and Ben Miller is seen running down the street
Films crews have been in Cambridge streets filming scenes for both Professor T and The Crown.
Actor Ben Miller – one half of comedy double act Armstrong & Miller – was spotted running down the street for a scene of the new series of Professor T.
The actor, also known for films including Paddington 2 and Johnny English, is reprising his role as genius criminologist Professor Jasper Tempest in series three of the ITV crime drama, which is based on a Belgian programme of the same name.
Miller was seen jumping out of his car after getting stuck in a traffic jam, then running at full pelt down the street as part of a dramatic scene filmed near Jesus Green.
The 57-year-old, wearing white latex gloves, rushed past a refuse collector as he raced down the road. He was later spotted wrapped up in a thick black puffer jacket and huddling under an umbrella as he tried to keep warm between takes.
Meanwhile, at King’s College, filming was taking place on a new series of Netflix favourite The Crown, though the crew were doing all they could to keep it under wraps.
The Cambridge Independent understands they were filming Charles and Camilla’s wedding feast in the stunning Great Hall.
The final season is due to cover the royal family’s story from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
It is due to feature the death of Princess Diana in 1997.
