Just for Pets goes walkies to bigger Barnwell Road store
Just for Pets opened its newest pet store on Barnwell Road on Saturday after a transformation of the site, which had been a cycling shop.
The new store has been fitted out for weeks and the stock was finally moved in from the previous store – on the same site between McDonald’s and Sainsbury’s – on Friday ahead of the launch.
Set across two floors, the upstairs is all about smaller pets including products for birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters, and even local wildlife – plus a selection of local hay for best-quality nutrition.
Downstairs is a huge selection of raw food and natural treats for your cat or dog, everything from pigs ears to venison legs, or even camel. A packaging-free section offers a range of products with potential health benefits.
High meat kibble and wet food is also available, with brands including ACANA, Orijen, Cooper & Co, Natures Deli and more.
Also on sale is clothing for your dog walks, from Instagrammable matching collars, harnesses and leads from CocoPup to household names like Barbour & Le Chameau, alongside apparel from Hurtta and Twiggy Tags. There is also a range of cat and dog beds.
Just for Pets team members are trained in areas from nutrition to puppy socialisation and force-free harness fitting.
Pets are welcome in the new store, which is open seven days a week and has been lauched with a 10 per cent off discount on many lines until March 31.
Store manager Rob Ferguson said: “We’re pleased that Just for Pets is investing in Cambridge.
“The new store has a much larger range of products for customers from collars and leads to natural treats and even more raw feeding options.”
He continued: “It’s been great to see so many pets in store and we can’t thank customers enough for their support. Feedback has been amazing, both on our social media channels and in person.”
