Voters headed to the polls today (Thursday) and we are bringing you live updates as the counting begins and the results are announced in the 2024 General Election.

Labour’s Daniel Zeichner will be hopeful of another term as MP for Cambridge - and his first with a Labour government, while the Lib Dems have big aspirations in South Cambridgeshire and in St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire. And will Lucy Frazer, who has been serving in Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Cabinet as culture secretary, be safe in Ely and East Cambridgeshire?
