Cambridge cyclist goes well in maiden event of the year

Louis Rolfe produced an impressive performance in his first UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup event of the year.

The 19-year-old Cambridge-based cyclist was taking part in the time trial and road race in the Netherlands.

In the men’s C2 time trial in Emmen, Rolfe finished fifth as British team-mate Simon Price won the bronze medal.

With two laps to go in the road race, Rolfe launched an attack to go 10 seconds clear, but he was reeled in by the pack on the final lap and finished 10th as Price took the gold medal.
