Man dies after car crashes into water-filled ditch in Cambridgeshire




A man has died after his car left the road and crashed into a water-filled ditch in Cambridgeshire.

Costel Burdulea, 43, was found in a red Vauxhall Vivaro off the B1098 Sixteen-Foot Bank near March on Monday (September 19) around midday, but it is not known how long he had been there.

Paramedics attended but Costel, of St Johns Street, Holbeach, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sgt Stephen Andrews said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen this incident or the van since Saturday evening. It is unknown at this time how long the vehicle had been in the water.”
