Man repeatedly hit with hammer in ‘terrifying attack’ in Cambridge
A 34-year-old man was attacked with a hammer as he rode a scooter close to the King George V playing field in Cambridge.
The victim was approached by two men, one of whom pulled out the hammer, at about 8.15pm on Sunday (July 9).
The victim was repeatedly hit over the head with the hammer by one man while the other man took the scooter, which is worth about £2,000.

The victim suffered injuries to his head, face, arms and legs, which required hospital treatment.
The suspects are described as men in their early 20s, one wearing a balaclava and one with blonde hair. Both were wearing dark clothing at the time. The scooter is described as a black Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 with red trim.
Detective Constable Matthew Lander said: “This was a terrifying attack for the victim, who sustained serious injuries.
