Moo-ve quickly: only 10 Cows about Cambridge left to sponsor
Businesses that have not yet signed up to be part of Cows about Cambridge are being urged to ruminate no longer, as only 10 remain available for sponsorship.
To date, more than 50 businesses, schools and community groups have registered to take part in the project – one of the largest mass-participation art events ever to be held in the city.
Supported by the Cambridge Independent, the discovery trail for residents and employees will run from March 30 until June 6, 2020, when the stunning cow sculptures, each created by a different artist, will be dotted all over the city.
It is estimated that the trail will generate more than £8million of economic value for the region, while promoting well-being and an active lifestyle, and facilitate discussions on environmental issues.
Wild in Art is managing the project in partnership with the children’s charity Break.
Along with the Cambridge Independent as media partner, the supporters include principal partner Cambridge BID and the presenting partner and official travel partner, Thameslink.
Peter Marron, project manager for Cows about Cambridge, said: “Sponsorship opportunities are being snapped up. You too could join our impressive roll call of supporters; it reads like a who’s who of the Cambridge business world – those that recognise the social impact and tangible benefits a popular, inclusive public art event like this brings.
“I can’t think of a better way to communicate how much value businesses receive in return for sponsoring a sculpture and choosing their preferred design.
“There are limitless possibilities for stakeholder and staff engagement, community outreach, profile raising and creative fun.”
The cows will be auctioned off at the end of the project to raise money for Break.
There are also opportunities for schools to get involved.
